Hebrews 2:18 "For because he himself has suffered when
tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted." (ESV)
Have you ever felt like you have
fallen so far from God's goodness that it is impossible to return to his side?
Have you ever faced a temptation that is so desirable you really want to
succumb even though you know it is the wrong thing to do? If your answer
is yes, it sounds to me like you are a human being. You see, we live in
this fallen world that is so full of seemingly fabulous things that are outside
of the light of God. At every turn believers have to make choices based
on God's directives while faced with the pleasures of this culture. The
good news for us is that our Savior Jesus Christ has been there first.
He was tempted in every way and still did not sin. He knows what we are
going through and He will hold us up. When we are in the midst of our
trials, if we turn our faces to Jesus, He will help us to move back into the
light. Thank you, Jesus!
