Have you ever wondered about the scripture in Luke where Jesus asks Peter "who the crowds say He is"?  I find it to be very interesting that Jesus waits for an answer and then questions Peter further about who Peter thinks He is.   The scripture reads,"Once when Jesus was praying in private and His disciples were with Him, he asked them, "who do the crowds say I am?"  Luke 9:18.  This is important to understand because wherever the crowds that surround you go, there is always a temptation to follow.      The popular version of who God is may reflect an illustration of God that is faulty.  Jesus wants us to know and claim who he is for ourselves.   Jesus wants us to be certain that He is our personal Lord and Savior.  Luke 9:20 finishes with Jesus saying "But what about you, he asked.   Who do you say I am?  Peter answered, The Christ of God."  Amen!
