I Kings 5:13 King Solomon conscripted laborers from all
Israel - thirty thousand men.
This is just one verse in the chapter that
indicates how dedicated Solomon was in building a fabulous temple for the Lord
God of Israel. As I read through his preparations, I am somewhat
convicted. When I consider that You, Lord, have promised to dwell within
me, my heart, your temple. Why am I less adamant about preparing it to be
a welcoming, fabulous place for you to dwell? Should I be any less
enthusiastic, less committed as I prepare my heart to worship You in spirit and
in truth? No. Forgive me, Lord .
