II Kings 19:30 (NASB) The remaining survivors of the house of
Judah shall again strike root below and bear fruit above.
God always maintains a remnant of His
people. In the above Scripture God promises not only will they survive,
but they will take root downward like a well-watered plant and bear fruit
above. In other words they will be fruitful in life. We are told
several places in the Bible to bear fruit - of repentance, good deeds etc.
I long to get my roots established deeply
in the Lord so I might bear fruit for Him. It is worthy of a prayer,
don't you think?
