Do you ever wonder what your purpose is for this life?  Do you ever wonder if you are really making a difference?  Maybe you work hard to do the right Christian thing.  Is it really worth it?  Life is hard and being a Christian in this world is even harder.   Have you ever been tempted to let someone else carry the torch for just a little while?   Have you ever thought about stepping into the dark - just a little step - just to rest a bit?  Friends, God wants us to be His "bright light" in this world.    He knows that our walk is tough.   He knows that our lights flicker a bit sometimes.    Our God knows that we falter in the dusk and are tempted to move toward the dark.   But He still calls us to take up our light and shine it on the darkness in our world.    He desires for us to share His light with those that need it most.   And you know what?    God will walk with us every step of the way.   He is holding up our arms as we carry His torch and shine His light!   Philippians 2:15 tells it this way.  "That you may show yourselves to be blameless, innocent children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and wicked generation, among whom you are seen as bright lights in the world".  Remind me Father that my job is to be your torch bearer.    Thank you for trusting me with such an important task!
