John 20:11-12 But Mary stayed outside the tomb weeping.
And as she wept, she bent over into the tomb and saw two angels in white
sitting there, one at the head and one at the feet where the body of Jesus had
been.
Doesn't this bring to mind the picture of
the two cherubim on the Ark of the Covenant? There they were on top of
the mercy seat, one at each end, and here they are on top of where we found our
mercy - an empty tomb. I don't think this was a coincidence.
