Isaiah 25:1 O LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you; I will
praise your name, for you have done wonderful things, plans formed of old,
faithful and sure.
There is much to be said about this verse
: first, can you say that the Lord is your God? If so, tell Him.
Will you exalt Him? Will you lift Him high above all else in your
life? in your word? in your priorities? Will you praise His name - that
name at which every knee will bow? Why not bow now in addition to later.
Can you attest to the wonderful things He has done? And not just
the things in your life, but in the world itself? Do you realize that He
has plans? Have you gotten into His word and seen how it all will end? Have
you experienced in your life how faithful He is and dependable? If so,
tell Him today.
Take this verse and turn it into not only
a reason to dig into His word, but to a prayer of affirmation of your love for
Him.
