Acts 2: 36-38 (verse 38) Repent and be baptized every one of
you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will
receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
We are at the time of Pentecost ( at least
in the year of 2016) and as I have studied it, I think it is important that we
see this is the birth of the church. It deserves a birthday party.
The invitation would look like this:
For: the Church
Gifts: no need the Father has given
us the gift of the Holy Spirit
Sing: Happy Birthday to the Church
Party favors - bring a noisemaker ( your
voice) to proclaim the mighty works of God
Refreshment - wine (the new wine)
I suggest we get drunk on the new wine of
the Holy Spirit and get caught driving under the influence of the Holy Spirit.
Let's hope there is enough evidence to get us convicted.
