I Corinthians 9:24-25 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize?  So run that you may obtain it.  Every athlete exercises self-control in all things.  They do  it to receive a perishable crown, but we an imperishable.

As I watched the Triple Crown final race yesterday, I was so enthralled with all the music and pageantry.  I loved the victory and the presentations of the trophies.  And I couldn't help but think of our crowns we will receive when we have finished the race.  It will be an everlasting crown. It won't rust, or tarnish, or lose its value. How exciting that will be!  Praise You, Lord Jesus.
