Psalm 4:4 Be angry and do not sin; ponder in your own hearts
on your beds, and be silent.
This verse reminds us that we can be
angry, but the challenge is to not sin in our anger. I think the rest of
the verse gives us some good advice. Rather than to gossip or talk about
the sin with others, the verse tells us to ponder in our own hearts at night
when we lie down. The "be silent" part helps us to not spread
rumors about whatever it was that made us angry.
If we were to consider our anger silently
before bed and before the Lord, we might not be so quick to act upon our anger.
Give it a try.
