John 15:3 Already you are clean because of the word that I
have spoken to you.
You know that we are told that the Word is
living, so we shouldn't be surprised that it acts like a scrubber and cleanses
us. Just sitting and reading the Word of God has a lasting effect on us.
It contains wisdom and principles which have the capacity to change our
lives. The above Scripture says the word was spoken to us. As you
read the Word, do you listen for God's voice? We should. We should
not be content to get up from being in the Word until we have heard from our
Lord.
He has never failed to show up and speak
to me when I have quietly remained in His presence. Give it a try.
