Leviticus 24:2  "Command the Israelites to bring you clear oil of pressed olives for the light so that the lamps may be kept burning continually."

This verse reminds me that we are like those lamps - we are to be shining our light continually.  As I pondered that, my mind went to  how we are supposed to be the light of the world.  From there my mind leaped to walking in traffic.  What?  Yes that is where my mind went.  Why - because I was thinking about when we are walking in traffic, we should walk toward the headlights.  I likened that in my mind to walking into the light of the Lord.  If we were to be walking away from Him, we would need to turn around ( repent) and head back to His loving arms.  So, I know in these days we say so and so has my back.  In my metaphor of walking in traffic - I don't want Him to have my back.  I want Him to have my front.  I want to be heading into His light and His life.  I want His light to so permeate my very soul that I will be able to keep my light shining continually.  Ah... we are back where we started.

I may have taken the circuitous route, but you get my drift - right?
